Works
Starting with the perfect piece of wood...
Each piece starts with finding a unique piece of wood. A fallen tree. A beam reclaimed from a once prominent Pennsylvania barn. Or even once beloved piece of furniture looking for new life. The wood is carefully cut, shaped and sanded to prepare it for the project ahead. Whether making a cutting board or a table top, every inch is handled with care but never destroying nature's imperfections which help make each work unique and bold.
Production
Quality vs Quantity
Starting with a sketch, each product is a labor of love and never rushed. No matter the size, every detail is meticulously planned and no steps are skipped. Holland Woodworks loves to blend other materials to accentuate the wood. This can include metal and a wide range of colored epoxy. If Holland Woodworks can't create the right element to bring your piece to life, craftsman are brought in to collaborate and create those necessary details.
Whether staining, painting or coating with resin, time is given to let things properly rest to assure the perfect outcome.

About
Ted Vingless & Holland Woodworks
Ted is a woodworker, carpenter and all around craftsman with over 25 years of experience. Having a background in home improvement, he found a passion for unique pieces found in homes which weren't mass produced. He began creating his own products as a desire to give homes, offices and most importantly families truly one-of-a-kind woodworks to give a sense of warmth and personality that can't be reproduced by items on a store shelf.
